Drinking water quality

The drinking water is good, but the quality of the water in your home my change, say, if the water is stagnant for a longer period and gets warmer. The HYPRO duplicates the treatment carried out by the waterworks, meaning that you are always on the safe side.

If water remains in pipes for a longer period of time, if pipes have defects or if pipes heat up due to the ambient conditions, pollutants can re-enter the water and microorganisms or pathogens can grow. Sometimes water suppliers even issue warnings or boil orders when a malfunction occurs in a pipeline network. The German Environment Agency says you should always let your drinking water run – until you feel it getting colder – before you drink it. HYPRO means that you don’t need to waste water. You’re always on the safe side.

The HYPRO WATER disinfects your drinking water completely without chemicals. The activated carbon used in the filter is sustainably obtained from coconut shells.

The Drinking Water Ordinance does not list limit values for many of the pollutants found in Europe.

Yes, you can use the device on several smartphones simultaneously. You just have to make sure to use the same log-in data on all smartphones.

Yes, the device can of course be used without Wi-Fi. The LEDs on the front of the unit indicate the current status.

The filter should be replaced after 4 months, i.e. 3 times a year or after 2000 litres of water have flowed through. Your app can show you your filter status at any time. The LED on the device also lights up in red when the filter needs to be changed.

Yes, anyone can connect the device themselves at home, and disconnect it again too. You can reconnect the device and its accessory parts somewhere else at any time. Tip: some of our customers even bring their HYPRO WATER with them on holiday.

In principle, the HYPRO WATER can be connected to every conventional cold tap. We can supply you with the accessories you need for all conventional connection types (2-way tap, 3-way tap, supplementary tap). In your kitchen, say, the HYPRO WATER could be located on or under your worktop (see photos here).

How the device works

Yes, you can use water from the HYPRO WATER to prepare baby food. The built-in highly effective UVC disinfection prevents contamination of the water, that means that boiling and letting the water run for a long time are no longer necessary. In addition, pollutants such as heavy metals from outdated pipelines are removed from the water, whereas boiling does not remove these substances.

The HYPRO WATER is a purely hygienic water treatment device. It ensures that your drinking water does not contain any substances that are harmful to your health. As limescale is not harmful, the HYPRO WATER does not filter it out.

Yes, the HYPRO WATER can even filter hormones out of your drinking water. We have had this independently certified by leading institutes around the world.

The HYPRO WATER cannot produce sparkling water. It is, however, an ideal complement to all carbonation systems (e.g. a SodaStream, SodaMax or aarke). 

No, the HYPRO has a built-in sensor that continuously measures the quantity of water treated. The HYPRO also automatically detects a filter and can tell if it is new or used. You receive this information in your app, and the red LED on the device lights up.

The HYPRO WATER inactivates all viruses, bacteria, parasites and chlorine-resistant organisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia.

UV disinfection is a recognised disinfection method for drinking water that is used all over the world and is known to be environmentally friendly and free of chemicals. UV-C light with a wavelength of approx. 260–280 nm destroys the genetic information of viruses and bacteria so that they can no longer make you ill. Once you have registered in the app, you should receive an email with a confirmation link. Please also check whether the mail ended up in your spam folder. If this is the case, please move the email to your inbox and then confirm the link. Your registration is now confirmed and you can connect your HYPRO WATER to the app.

Competition / comparable technology

UV disinfection is a recognised disinfection method for drinking water that is used all over the world and is known to be environmentally friendly and free of chemicals. Reverse osmosis (RO) is a filtration process that separates substances in water from the water itself. These include pollutants, pathogens and also substances such as calcium and magnesium. Even if reverse osmosis can be used to filter out pathogens, a system that makes use of RO is still not completely safe. Pathogens can start to grow again in the downstream activated carbon; even a rupture of the membrane filter can have dire consequences and cannot be detected from the outside.

Patents & certificates

There is no mandatory standard for registration of UVC LED water treatment devices in the household sector. The goal we chose for ourselves was the develop the best water treatment device in the world. The standards we have presented and passed are ones we voluntarily set for ourselves.

The HYPRO WATER is protected by the U.S. patents US10,377,644B2, US10,570,030B2 and US2020/0399144A1.

We offer free international shipping within the EU. You may, however, have to pay customs fees via our logistics partner.

Normally you should receive your order within 2–4 working days.

For all purchases in the Hytecon online shop, Hytecon grants you a right of return for a total of 14 days from receipt of the goods. You can withdraw from the contract within this period by sending the goods back to Hytecon (the period begins on the day after receipt of the goods). However, the prerequisite for exercising the right of return is that you return the goods complete, unused and undamaged. In addition, the goods must be returned in their original packaging.You will find your return form here. The fully completed return form must also be enclosed with the shipment. You bear the direct costs of the return.

General

All HYPRO WATER devices have a warranty of at least two years from the date of purchase. Warranty restrictions: The warranty is subject to the conditions that the machine has been operated correctly as described in the operating manual.
